The portuguese soprano Ana Caseiro was born in Porto. Her devotion to singing as a professional career was inevitable as her love for singing was always present in all stages of her life. She started studying music when she was 8 years old, learning the violin. Later she joined the amateur choir "Coral de Letras da Universidade do Porto" conducted by José Luís Borges Coelho. In 2008 she enrolled the Conservatório de Música do Porto in Cecília Fontes' singing class. During her studies she participated and won several singing competitions, which led her to finish her musical studies in Porto with honors. Simultaneously, she graduated her bachelors degree in Biology in Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto. After moving to Brussels (Belgium), she graduated her bachelors and masters degrees in singing with honors, in the class of Dina Grossberger and Dinah Bryant in Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. In 2017 she moved to Graz (Austria) and started working with Ulf Bästlein in the Kunstuniversität Graz. Parallelly to her soloistic career she performed with chamber choirs such as Konzertvereinigung Wiener Staatsopernchor (Salzburg, AT) Coro Casa da Música (Porto, PT), Choeur de la Radio France (Paris, FR) and Collegium Vocale Gent (Gent, BE). She participated in Lied masterclasses like the Udo Reinemann International Masterclasses (Belgium) in 2015 and Liedkunst im Schloss vor Husum (Germany) in 2016 with the pianist Pedro Costa, as well as the Leeds Lieder Young Artists in 2020 with the pianist Sabina Švigelj. She had the opportunity to work with renowned artists like Sarah Wegener, Sarah Maria Sun, Angelika Luz, Holger Falk, Anne-Sofie von Otter, Julius Drake, Roderick Williams, Christianne Stotijn, Eildert Beeftink, Valerie Guillorit, Joseph Breinl, Charles Spencer, Marie Claude Solanet, Dorian Astor, Markus Hadulla, Fernando Guimarães and António Salgado.
Since October 2020 she is enrolled in the masters program Performance Practice in Contemporary Music: Vocal in the class of Holger Falk and members of the Klangforum Wien. In March 2021 she performed and recorded Pierrot Lunaire by A. Schönberg in György-Ligeti-Saal, MUMUTH (Graz). In 2019 she founded the acapella vocal quintet Capítulo, which focuses in vocal repertoire by portuguese composers from the Renaissance until today.
In May 2022 she had her debut in the Opera of Graz in the contemporary opera productions of Oper der Zukunft,
with the world premiere of the compositions of Joan Gómez Alemany and Sinan Samanli.
In September 2022 she will perform the role of Justine in the Austrian Premiere of the opera "Gesicht im Spiegel"
by J. Widmann in a production of Neue Oper Wien, with performances in Vienna (AT) and Budapest (HU).
Season 22/23 also counts with the role of Sängerin in P. Boesman's opera "Reigen" (KUG, 2023) and Mutter
in O. Strasnoy's opera "Geschichte" (Oper Graz, 2023).
